About TONY Drum Wood Chipper:
TONY drum wood chipper  is a specialized equipment used to cut wood, branches, straw and other biomass raw materials into uniform wood chips. It is widely used in industries such as papermaking, artificial boards, biomass energy and feed processing. The main raw materials for cutting include small-diameter wood, wood felling and processing residues (such as branches, twigs, veneers, slats, round wood cores, waste veneers, waste wood, etc.), and it can also be used to cut non-wood raw materials, such as sugarcane, reeds, bamboo, etc
The drum wood chipper, with its high efficiency, durability and wide adaptability to raw materials, has become one of the core equipment in the processing of agricultural and forestry biomass.
Structural Composition And Core Components
Tool drum: Multiple flying knives (blades) are fixed on a cylindrical spindle, generating cutting force through high-speed rotation.
Feeding device: It includes the feeding port, conveyor chain plate or feeding roller to ensure that the raw materials are evenly sent into the cutting area.
Bottom knife and screen: The bottom knife is fixed to the machine base and forms a shearing effect with the flying knife. The screen is located at the discharge port and controls the thickness and particle size of the wood chips.
Transmission system: The motor drives the knife drum to rotate through a belt or gear. Some equipment is equipped with a hydraulic system to regulate the feeding speed.

The raw materials are fed in through the feeding port and pushed towards the knife drum by the conveying device. The high-speed rotating flying knife works in coordination with the bottom knife to cut the raw materials into wood chips. The cut wood chips are screened through a screen. Those that meet the particle size requirements are discharged from the discharge port, while those that are too large will continue to be cut inside the machine

What raw materials can a wood chipper be used to cut?
The drum chipper can process a variety of wooden and non-wooden biomass raw materials, specifically including:
1. Wood category
Logs: Various soft and hard mixed woods such as pine, fir, poplar, birch, etc., with a diameter usually no more than 30 centimeters (the processing capacity varies among different models of equipment).
Branches and twigs: Pruned branches and twigs of trees, with a diameter of no more than 10 centimeters.
Board scraps: Waste wood, wood chips, wood strips, etc. left over from wood board processing.
2. Agricultural and forestry waste

What Is a Complete Wood Pellet Production Line?
Wood log is the most common raw material for making wood pellets.The main processing process of wood pellets:
01Wood Chipping Process
This process is mainly used to grind the wood logs whose diameter is under 25cm without barks into wood chips with size 25-55mm.   The finish wood chips size can be adjustable by changing different sizes of screeners and adding flying knives inside the wood chipper.
02Fine Crushing Process
This process is mainly used to crush  wood chips into sawdust,to ensure the density and combustion efficiency during the subsequent pressing and forming process,Hammer mill can quickly crush the materials to the required particle size.   The production process is continuous, which greatly improves the production efficiency.
03Drying Process
This process is mainly used to dry the moisture content of sawdust to 10-15%.  Drying the raw material to the proper moisture content is essential for the manufacture of high quality pellets. .   For a small batch, the raw material can be left in the sun for at least 24 hours to dry naturally;   For larger batches, a dryer can be used to dry the raw material to the desired moisture content
04Pelleting Process
This process is mainly used to products pellets with φ6-8mm.  TONY's new 304 stainless steel vertical ring die pellet machine is extruded by ring die and roller group, the raw material is squeezed into the ring die hole to form, and constantly extruded to the outer end.   When pelleting, it is necessary to ensure the uniform feed .
05Cooling Process
This process is mainly used to cool pellets from 80-90ºC to 20-30ºC.  The freshly pressed pellets have a relatively high temperature and are soft.   They need to be cooled and shaped through a cooler .   After cooling, the hardness of the particles increases, making them easier to store and transport
06Packing Process
This process is mainly used to pack pellets into 15-50KG/Bags.  Once the pellets are cooled, they are transported to a packing facility, packed and stored in a dry place.  Finished wood pellet products are usually packaged in ton bags or small bags to meet the needs of different customers.
