Why Make Biomass Pellet Fuel

Biomass pellet fuel refers to a granular fuel made by using crops (such as straw), wood (such as wood, pine, fir, etc.), sawdust and other agricultural and forestry processing waste (such as rice husks, tree bark, furniture factory foot feed, wood powder, cotton poles, peanut shells, medicinal residue, bamboo chips, sludge, building formwork, wooden pallets, etc.) as raw materials. After being extruded by a biomass pellet machine, the crushed raw materials are made by cold compact molding and processing under normal temperature conditions using a press roller and ring mold.
Density: The density of raw materials is generally 0.1 - 0.13t/m³, and the particle density after forming is 1.1 - 1.4t/m³. It has a large density and small size, which is convenient for storage and transportation, and greatly improves the combustion performance of biomass.
Elemental composition: 75-85% carbon content, 3-6% ash content, 1-3% moisture content, absolutely no impurities such as coal gangue, stones, etc. that do not heat and consume heat, and do not contain thiophosphate.
Catalyst value: The biomass pellet fuel generates a large amount of heat, with a heat generation of around 3900-4800 kcal/kg. The calorific value of the pellet fuel made from different raw materials varies.

Product Description

1.Crushing Process:	The raw material used to make wood pellets must be broken to a small size, and pellet machine users typically use a wood chipper to cut the wood into pieces 2.5 cm (0.98 in) or smaller
2. Fine Crushing Process:	Using a hammer mill, smaller pieces are crushed and cut into very small particles, reducing the size of the raw material to 5 mm (0.20 in). Some users will choose the pre-treated sawdust and can skip this step.
3. Drying Process:	Drying the raw material to the proper moisture content is essential for the manufacture of high quality particles. Before granulation, it is necessary to ensure that the water content of the raw material is about 10%-15%. For a small batch of particles, the raw material can be left in the sun for at least 24 hours to dry naturally; For larger batches, a dryer can be used to dry the raw material to the desired moisture content.
4.Pelleting Process:	The most commonly used equipment for granulation is the pellet machine. TONY's new 304 stainless steel vertical ring die pellet machine is extruded by ring die and press roll, the raw material is squeezed into the ring die hole to form, and constantly extruded to the outer end. When pelleting, it is necessary to ensure the uniform feed to prevent the blocking caused by too fast feed.
5. Cooling Process:	When the molding particles leave the pellet machine, the particles themselves will be hot and release water vapor, so they must be cooled and dried, which can make them harder.
6. Packaging Process:	Once the particles are cooled, they are transported to a packaging facility, packed and stored in a dry place.

Something You Need To Know:
It is important to note that different pellet manufacturers may have different process details and quality control standards.
If the wood chips raw materials may contain stones or metal and other debris, if these debris into the pellet machine particle chamber, they are likely to lead to the pellet machine mold clogging or wear, so the raw materials into the wood pellet machine before screening iron impurities.
If processing pellets with a variety of raw materials may need to use a drum or blender batch mixing adjustment. Finally, not all particles can be pressed well, during the pressing process, some particles will be scattered or broken, usually using the aperture of the same size as the wood particles of the filter shaking or screening to remove the deformed particles.

Working Principle

The working principle of the 304 Stainless Steel Pellet Machine is mainly to rely on the pressure and friction between the template and the mold to gradually shape the raw materials and finally cut them into pellet products.
The specific process is as follows:
1. Feeding: The biomass raw materials are fed through the feeder, and after pre-treatment such as crushing and mixing, they are sent to the hopper of the 304 Stainless Steel Pellet Machine.
2. Extrusion: The raw materials are subjected to the force between the high-speed rotating template and the stationary mold in the hopper, gradually forming pellet materials.
3. Cutting: After extrusion, the pellet materials are pushed to the inside of the mold to form a ring, and the blade inside the mold cuts the pellets to produce pellet products of the same length.
4. Discharging: The granular products are fed into the discharge port to produce the products of the 304 Stainless Steel Pellet Machine.
