Product Description

TONY Wood Chipper is a special equipment for producing high-quality wood chips.Wood Chipper has regular discharging rules and high output. It is an ideal equipment for the material preparation section of industrial production such as paper mill, wood-based panel and medium fiber board and all kinds of wood chip production bases. All models can be customized according to customer needs.  It can cut pine, miscellaneous wood, poplar, Chinese fir and other logs and moso bamboo into uniform pieces. It can also slice various materials such as veneer, veneer, bamboo branch. Users can adjust the specifications of wood chips within a certain range according to their needs. 

Main Parts

TONY wood chipper is composed of feed belt, discharge belt, frame, cutter roller, upper and lower feeding mechanism, feeding device, hydraulic buffer system and electrical control system. Can be customized according to customer requirements.

Working Principle

1.Feeding: Raw materials such as wood are conveyed to the working area of the chipper through the feeding device. The feeding device usually consists of components such as conveyor belts and feeding rollers. They work together to send raw materials into the cutting area at a certain speed and direction, ensuring the stability and continuity of the feeding.
2.Cutting: The core component of a drum chipper is a high-speed rotating drum wheel, on which several cutting tools are installed. When the drum rotates, the cutting tool moves in a circular motion along with the drum, cutting the wood that enters the cutting area. Wood is cut into slices under the action of knives. Due to the high rotational speed of the drum wheel, it can generate a considerable cutting force, thus effectively cutting wood of various hardness levels.
3.Discharge: The wood chips after cutting are thrown towards the discharge port and discharged from the chipper under the action of the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the drum. Meanwhile, to ensure the quality of chipping and production efficiency, the drum chipper is also equipped with some auxiliary devices, such as flying knives, bottom knives and side knives, etc. The flying knife is installed on the drum wheel and is the main cutting tool. The bottom knife is located below the feed port and works in conjunction with the flying knife to perform shearing cutting on the wood, making the thickness of the wood chips more uniform. The side knife is used to control the width of the wood chips, preventing lateral movement of the wood during the cutting process and ensuring the dimensional accuracy of the wood chips.
