Raw Materials for making pellets
Raw material: hard wood, waste wood and straws, woodchips(palm, mahogany,rubber tree), bamboo shavings, rice husk, peanut shells, wheat straw, corn stalk, cotton stalks, alfalfa grass, bagasse, palm fiber.
Size: Less than 5mm (All the raw materials must be crushed into sawdust before going into pellet machine.If not, you may need a wood chipper, wood crusher.)
Moisture: 10-15% is best for producing good quality pellet.
Physical Properties of biomass pellets
Density: pellets density after forming is 1.1 -1.4t/m'. It is convenient for storage and transportation, and greatly improves the combustion performance of biomass.
Elemental composition:75-85% carbon content, 3-6% ash content,1-3% moisture content, absolutely no impurities such as coal gangue.stones, etc. that do not heat and consume heat, and do not contain thiophosphate.
Catalyst value: The biomass pellet fuel generates a large amount of heat, with a heat generation of around 3900-4800 kcal/kg. The calorific value of the pellet fuel made from different raw materials varies. For example, larch particles are about 4022 kcal (16829kj/kg) red pine particles are about 3978 kcal (16645kj/kg), wood chip mixed particles are about 3896 kcal (16302kj/kg), and wood chip peanut shell particles are about 3812 kcal (15948kj/kg)
