Working Principle

During operation, logs or other wood raw materials are transported to the vicinity of the cutting board through the feeding device. The cutting board rotates at high speed under the drive of the transmission device, and the cutting tool installed on the cutting board cuts the wood. The relative movement between the tool and the wood creates a cutting force, which cuts the wood into sheets. The cut wood chips are discharged out of the machine through the discharge device.
Structural composition
Cutter: It is the core component of a wood chipper, usually in the shape of a disc, with cutting tools installed on it. The cutter plate is connected to the transmission device through the spindle and rotates at high speed under the drive of the motor.
Cutting tools: Generally, high-strength, wear-resistant alloy tools are used, and their shape and angle are designed according to the material and cutting requirements of the wood. The tool is fixed to the cutter plate and cuts the wood as the cutter plate rotates.
Feeding device: used to transport wood raw materials to the cutting area. Common feeding devices include conveyor belts, feed rollers, etc. They can control the feeding speed and direction of the wood to ensure that the wood enters the chipper evenly and stably.

• Discharge device: mainly used to discharge cutting wood chips. The discharge port is usually located below or on the side of the chipper, and the wood chips enter the collection device or subsequent conveying equipment under the action of gravity or airflow.

Transmission device: consists of a motor, reducer, coupling, etc., which is used to transmit the power of the motor to the cutting plate so that the cutting plate can obtain the required speed and torque. The transmission device can also adjust the speed of the cutter plate as needed to meet different wood cutting requirements.
Body: It is the supporting structure of the chipper, usually made of steel plate welded, with sufficient strength and stability. Protective devices are installed inside the fuselage to prevent wood debris from splashing during cutting.
