Why process biomass pellets?

1. Easy to store and transport
Biomass pellet fuel after compression molding, small volume, high density, easy to store and transport, reduce the cost of storage and transportation. At the same time, the shape of the pellet fuel is regular and the flow is good, which is easy to realize automatic feeding and combustion control.

Processing biomass pellets has the following requirements for raw materials:
Moisture content	Granularity	Impurity content
The moisture content of raw materials is generally required to be between 10% and 15%. If the moisture content is too high, it will cause the pellets to be difficult to form, if the moisture content is too low, the raw material will become dry and fragile, and it is difficult to form a good bond during the processing, which will also affect the molding quality of the pellets, resulting in loose pellets and insufficient strength.	The particle size of the raw material needs to be adjusted according to the model of the granulator and the mold specifications. Generally, the particle size of the raw material after grinding should be less than 6-8 mm. If the particle size is too large, it will aggravate the wear of the press roll and the mold of the pellet machine, and it will also increase the energy consumption of the pellet machine, and may even lead to the material not being able to pass the mold smoothly, affecting the production process.	Raw materials should minimize the content of impurities, such as soil, sand, metal, etc. The presence of impurities will not only accelerate the wear of the equipment, but also may cause the quality of the pellets to decline, affecting the combustion performance.
